Shivamogga: A team of forest department officials raided a college and recovered animal parts which are listed under Schedule 1 of the Forest Act.
The team headed by Assistant Conservator of Forest (crime cell) Veeresh Gowda conducted the raid on the college, the forest officials said.
Ravindra Kumar N, ACF (mobile squad) from Shivamogga said that the team received a complaint about an unauthorized storage of animal body parts at the college. We have checked thoroughly and interrogated some staff, he said, adding the probe is on.
The college authorities refused to comment about the issue.
