Forest Land Encroachment in Soraba Under Investigation
Forest Minister Eshwar B. Khandre has swiftly ordered a probe into allegations of illegal encroachment on hundreds of acres of land in Soraba Taluk. The investigation follows a complaint that farmers on the edge of forest patches in Kantanahalli, Sorab Taluk, have been continuously destroying the forest and encroaching on it.

As soon as the order was issued, Soraba division forest officials sprang into action, seizing the cut wood and arresting three people. The investigation is on, and the forest department is working to prevent further encroachment and protect the forest land.
